During the 5 days of the program you will not only get to put your entrepreneur skills into practice, you will also have the opportunity to share assets, knowledge and expertise with other entrepreneurs. Through the roadmap that we have designed, you will learn and hands on try the methodologies and approaches to action following the models of big start-ups like Google or Facebook.  

PANDORAHUB FUN! Startup is a program with zero dogma and 100% heterodoxy; it is a mixture and selection of the best approaches to business development, product and service design and low cost user research and iteration cycles as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Happy Startup,  systemic teams management, and most of all the program will be interlace with lots of FUN.

During the program the participants will be provided with mentors and specialized international experts in these disciplines, in addition to an on-site mentor who will accompany participants and will serve as a guide throughout the whole process. Participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy themselves with watersports such as paddle surfing, canoe-kayak, boat, fishing, etc.

In addition, we will organize FUN plans and water activities like paddle surf, canoe-kayak, boat, fishing, etc.

WHO ARE YOU?

PANDORAHUB FUN! Startup is principally a roadmap especially designed for entrepreneurs with a business plan or very clear idea of what they want to do, or start-ups that have been operating for a few years and are aiming to grow. The program is geared towards entrepreneurs in the broadest sense (in the profit or nonprofit sectors) who have a philosophy and clear values towards innovation and smart models. Namely, businesses or business ideas that try to bring economic, human and material value both to the people involved in the business activity (work teams and customers) as well as to the environment. The program is specifically designed for people in the early years or embryonic stages of entrepreneurship or in any moment in the life cycle of the entrepreneur. Perhaps:

• You have an idea, all planned out in your head, that has not been put to paper

• You have not gotten passed the written stage, you have considered a million things and written lots of documents on your model, you have taken months, even years and have nothing beyond what’s on paper

• Or you have already done one or many versions of a Business Model Canvas

• Or you already have your business plan, nearly or totally complete and/or even well formatted

• You may also have the financial plan

What is not PANDORAHUB FUN! STARTUP?

No worries. We did not gather a bunch of experts. We are not going to bring together several entrepreneurs with limited bandwith just to talk. Our exchange-of-value and knowledge format is not a one-way model, but it is multidirectional. We are not going to let you wander around and miss the point. We are going to push you to take action. We are going to leave aside de eternal reflections. Design Thinking, Lean Startup as well as Happy Startup are action, action, action. We will articulate only the words needed to pass on the techniques. PANDORAHUB FUN! Startup is not:

• A range of brainstorming sessions
• A group of entrepreneurs that are sharing their experiences out of order (we invite you do it while having dinner)
• A group of entrepreneurs that are solely on vacations
• A general chat about life and the entrepreneurship miracles (we leave this also for dinner)
• A self-help group for entrepreneurs

Our motto in PANDORAHUB is: “Understand, reformulate, prototype, test, test, test. Improve and test again”. 

WHAT’S THE PURPOSE OF PANDORAHUB FUN! STARTUP?

PANDORAHUB FUN! Startup is not just a 5-day vacation for entrepreneurs. It is a before and after as an entrepreneur. Our goal is that you come back from this vacation already taking the first steps toward your dream and are able to refocus your business vision for a radical shift.  In addition to what you do during the program, you will leave with a series of tasks and next steps to be followed for the next several months. This program is for you whether you are ready to make the transition from your current work position to your own business or to start to see the light after feeling a bit lost with your start-up.

The value that this program offers depends on each person. The best thing you can do if you all this resonates with you is to try it. From the very start we anticipate some practical uses for PANDORAHUB Startup: 

• To have tones of fun and evolve at the same time
• To move from certainty to rethinking
• To phasing or revitalising your idea or business as opposed to remaining stagnant
• To identify new business opportunities
• To focus on what you already have rather than what you still don't
• To help you formulate the right questions and not just look for the right answers. For example: 
  • Do I want a scalable or easy to manage and controllable model??
  • What really is my value proposition? What are my main assets as an entrepreneur or a team?  What is my brand identity? What makes me unique and different from others?
  • How can I start up or reformulate the assets that I already have with minimal investment? Can I do it investing just time at the moment? 
  • Can I start by dedicating time to moving into another direction while minimizing risks? Where do I start and how?
  • Do I actually need investment and/or a location? Or first of all customers who need it?
  • Which is more important, the "soft" or the "hard”? Where do I start or how do I continue, providing value to a community and bringing together related communities through a value-added service? Or seeking business angels and/or sectoral, territorial/international expansion?        
  • What things can I start to do that will provide me high value and low risk, as well as knowledge and almost zero economic investment? Is it necessary to give up my economic security to innovate or plunge into the unknown?    
  • What do I really need to grow or to start working – A vibrant community and commitment to my brand? My own physical space? A specialized team? Which items are the most critical?
  • Does it make sense to invest in a brand, create an identity, a unique model, with a few principles, values, and a cause?
  • What can I do to know and understand my customers better in a regular basis? If I already know them, how can I understand them better? How do I know who they are, what they need, what they think and what they like? What do they worry about? What impedes them? What is more important for my business, my actual or potential clients? Why?
  • Does it make sense to test my product or service? In which development stage? How can I do that low cost? How can I get used to doing it?
  • Etc.

Facilitators: 

Silvia Calvet co-founder at Architecting Happiness and Google Launchpad mentor. Silvia is a workshop facilitation rock star and happy startup launchpad mentor. She is able to structure and facilitate sessions where the participants have opposing profiles, to transform them into a productive co-creation process as well as to generate joint and actionable solutions. She is a positive creative strategist that works lean and agile. As a creative, she uses the design thinking approach to put people first, to understand problems and to identify needs and constraints. As an strategist, she understands that business is about results, is about productivity, but it’s also about leadership and vision. The last 15 years she worked for all kind of companies and organizations not only to design digital solutions and services, but also to transform the way people learn, share and work to be more productive and easily achieve business goals.

Ian Collingwood:  COO & Program Director at Startupbootcamp Internet of Things & Data, visiting lecturer at ESADE Business School and IED Istituto Europeo di Design. Mentor for teams and individual founders at all of Europe's finest accelerators: Seedcamp, Techstars, Startupbootcamp, Wayra and Rockstart. 

Goals and content:  Silvia will guide and help them to align their activity strengths and business functions, to find solutions and to built-up (or re-align your business) with a solid and indestructible base.  I love to help companies and teams to look to their work and processes through the happiness lenses to innovate. Goals and content: We will review and implement the inspiration phase of the Design Thinking process (research and customer archetype definition) . We will dig deeper into it this method for solving business challenges and decision making by understanding the customer profile.

B BLOCK) FROM CONCEPT TO ACTION

September 7th - Leading teams and organizations as an introduction to Gestalt Systemic approach to systems organizations development September 8th - Lean Startup to make tangible product or service and test it to get the best version

Facilitator: Tomás Andreu CEO & Founder Atipics + Joan Gómez from Gestalt DO. Thomas is CEO & founder at Atipics.cat, the first pre-incubator of positive ideas in Spain. Creator of Momentum Project, the first accelerator of social enterprises in Spain. Founder and director of Bwin retail area in Spain. Producer of Trivideporte, an online campaign Advergaming. Business development consultant for Domestika, Fractalia, Expekt. Fellow of the Development Program at the Systemic Organization Management under the Gestalt approach. Fellow as a clinical psychotherapist under the Gestalt approach.

Goals and content:  This activity will take place on a boat that will be floating in the middle of the water reservoir.  Participants will learn about the essential principles of team leadership and they will discover on what the Gestalt approach (to lead work teams in an efficient and authentic manner) is based on. The participants will be able to put in practice their leadership, relationship and people management skills and they will have to organize themselves as group and independently. 

September 8th - Lean Startup in order to land and test a product or service 

Facilitator: José Antonio de Miguel author at  Yoemprendo, mentor, speaker and evangelist lean startup. INTEF Award 2012. Zaragoza (Spain). It is responsible for reviewing the Spanish version of The Startup Owner's Manual Steve Blank and Bob Dorf and the technical review of the book Designing the Value Proposition (Spanish edition of Value Proposition Design: How to Create Products and Services Customers Want -Strategyzer- from Alex Osterwalde). As a mentor, he has 15 years of experience helping entrepreneurs and startups to discover and validate your business model. It focuses its activities on helping entrepreneurial projects in the initial stages to discover its business model. It is ie shares with the entrepreneurial team their experience and know-how in the design of its Fabrics business model (Business Model Canvas), the formulation of hypotheses that support the validation experiments and analysis of metrics associated with themselves. As a lecturer, in recent years has made more than 25 lectures in forums entrepreneurs throughout the Spanish geography. In the "entrepreneurial theme" is considered a niche player because its primary focus is the design of business models entrepreneurs and itineraries focused on the philosophy problem + solution + market fit.

Goals and content: We will quickly review the previously done Business Model Canvas (we encourage you to do it before the camp) and we will implement the Lean Startup philosophy and practices for developing the value proposition, formulating hypotheses, rapid prototypes and guerrilla tests. In the afternoon we will further focus on optimizing prototypes and will make the typical iterative process for Lean Startup (rapid prototyping - guerrilla test - optimization - implementation of improvements). The aim of this day is to reach a refined version of the product service we want to launch (either new or reformulated).

September 9th - Prepare your go to market plan: Dimensioning, tracing and putting your implementation plan in action 

Facilitator: José Antonio de Miguel.

Objectives and Content: This workshop will define an implementation plan that includes everything you need before the go to market. This process will help the participants put their feet on the ground, identify milestones, activities and resources, but also to provide lift limitations and requirements required for the new business model/new product / service market launch. The participants will leave the workshop with a very clear idea about what immediate steps to take, what are the major decisions to take, which are the expected efforts, timming, resources, equipment and suppliers before the market launch.
