RURAL CO-WORKING, BUSINESS INCUBATION AND SKILLS-SHARING

All the villages will be provided with co-working spaces offering events and weekly sessions for skills-sharing, business development, design thinking methodologies, and business orientation courses for freelancers, etc. The goal is to provide working tools for each inhabitant’s professional profile, enhance professional and business growth, exchange knowledge between professionals, work collaboratively and promote entrepreneurship. In short, the aim is to generate a vibrant community of co-workers from all around the world.

CROWDFUNDING AND CO-HOUSING TO RECOVER OUR RURAL HERITAGE    

One of the ways that we will establish repopulation is through crowdfunding. New residents can buy or collectively rent their housing in the towns and rural areas of our country. Some villages are being sold from as low as€6,000. We can regain our historical heritage with low cost, accessible and affordable shares. The ownership model that we want to implement is based on the idea of roaming and co-ownership. This means that participants in the crowdfunding campaign are entitled to housing according to their contribution. But inhabitants will also have the opportunity to exchange their home with the residents of other towns that are part of the project. Inhabitants do not have always have to live in the same place if they desire a change.

PERMACULTURE, GREEN BUILDING, ORGANIC AGRICULTURE AND ENERGY SELF-SUFFICIENCY

Permaculture is a process of creative design that guides us to mimic the patterns and relationships found in nature. This process can be applied to all aspects of human life, from agriculture to ecological construction, from adaptive technology to education and even the economy. We will train the village inhabitants in the principles of permaculture and form local expert teams in the field. We will incorporate crop and livestock farming according to the principles of permaculture, as well as implement the infrastructure needed for the optimum management of waste, and the maximum use of resources and natural energy sources. We will apply the ethics and principles of permaculture and bio-construction techniques to create a savvy and prosperous community.

COMMUNITY LIVING, AUTONOMY AND ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION

We will reclaim the best of living in a small, easier to manage community while respecting the privacy of all village inhabitants. Activities of mutual learning will be coordinated between the new settlers and the local people, including inter-generational programmes for sharing and exchanging experiences. We offer the opportunity to establish a vibrant social fabric for both the new settlers and the local community. We will incorporate an alternative and green school paradigm, based on empowering the strengths and natural abilities of the learner, and offer teachings focused on respect for oneself, the other and nature. Our educational model is inspired by practices such as those employed by Green School, the greenest school in the world, located in the village of Badung, and Sunrise School in the village of Kerobokan, both in Bali (Indonesia).

WELL-BEING, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SPORT

We will schedule activities oriented to personal growth from a pragmatic and not purely spiritual perspective. Activities may include yoga, meditation, coaching, music, trekking, running, mountain biking, hiking, dancing, etc. Each village will have spaces, programs and value-added activities to enhance participants’ well-being and personal evolution. These activities will be affordable to all so that every resident has access to a highly desirable quality of life.
