A village surrounded by Water (Riba-roja d'Ebre, Tarragona)
In one of the meanders of the river Ebro, you will find a little village called Riba-roja d'Ebre. A strategic enclave on the trading route of the Sirga Path from the times of the Roman Empire. It is now a renowned destination for catching the enormous Siluro fish. Marshes surrounding the village and water as far as the eye can see. You will find an outdoor swimming pool close to Matarraña (el Caribe del Ebro), abandoned drowned chapels, the Spain’s first rural co-working space and a surprising number of young families living there all year round (there’s even a Kindergarten).
The house we chose is in the oldest part of the village, in Plaza de la Iglesia. A well-connected, cozy apartment that will allow you to experience the good-life in this rural, yet modern village of the Tierras del Ebro. Seek out the community host of the co-working space Zona Líquida and ask him to show you everything the village has to offer. If you’re lucky, he might just take you for a ride in his convertible boogie!
